Team Building & Corporate Events
Working on a creative project brings people together. At Glassworks, we can create a unique team building experience that reinforces the work you’re already doing together. Some recent examples include:
Musical chairs:
Each person starts off creating a design, for 15 minutes. They might start with a sketch using a marker, and start gluing some colored glass pieces. After just 15 minutes, everyone moves one chair to the left. You are now sitting in front of your neighbor’s work! It’s your job to keep helping your neighbor build their project – either by following the direction they set, or by moving the piece in a new direction. After just 5 minutes, you’ll move again! Everyone will get to keep the project they started with, and everyone in the room will have contributed to all of the work.
Themed small group projects:
Large groups can be broken up into smaller teams of 5 or 6. Each group can be given some direction or a theme – for instance, if you were working at Google, each team might be assigned one of the “ten truths” to describe in pictures. How would you, together with your team, create an image that means “Focus on the user and all else will follow?” That’s the challenge! You can create a challenge like this around a new mission statement, a set of guiding principles, or some aspects of a new project your team is working on.
Office mural:
Each member of your group creates a tile that will become part of a larger mural back at the office. Perhaps you’re reimagining your company logo in mosaic? Or decorating a new office space using variations on your corporate colors? The options are endless, and by working on individual projects that need to come together as a cohesive whole, you’re working as a team and reinforcing how important teamwork is.
